It is truly a sad day. We recognize the passing of our friend, our haunt family member and fellow cast member Jordan Lynch.
Jordan came to us later in life, to do something he had always wanted to do, act in a haunted house!
He bonded with and immediately became a treasured cast member. He would be one of the first people on site and was never in a hurry to leave. Although one might consider him a bit of a quiet person, he made a point of talking to people and was always friendly to everyone. We saw he was having a bit of trouble with stairs or standing for long periods of time as some rooms require.
So we created a spot that had easy access and allowed him to sit most of the night. And boy did he take advantage of it!!
He manned our Waiting Room in the Asylum. It has several hyper-detailed body props that are in chairs and wheel chairs waiting to see the doctor. We replaced one of the props with the very real Jordan. He loved to wait until the patrons would thing he was just another detailed prop and then he would pounce!!
Many times when passing through to fix something or check on the house, I would hear people leaving his room. They would always comment saying things like “Damn, I didn’t think he was real!” or “I could have sworn he was a dummy!”
No, Jordan was no “dummy” he was a very patient actor, good at his craft so convincingly that everyone thought he was nothing but a “prop” then he used great timing to get the most out of his room. He was voted an Actor of the Night every year he was with us!
Jordan was stedfast, as I said, always early, he also earned the covented “Hoodie” for perfect attendance every year. He attended all the cast parties and get togethers. He was loved by everyone.
He will be greatly missed, but we are all blessed to have known him!
